The Skriker Queen’s dress is a mixture of various gemstones, the same texture used for the columns. Though shimmering and warm in color, each stone has a somewhat murky undertone to represent the ugly reality beneath the glimmering façade. Warmer color schemes are shown to be more appetizing, and in this way her dress reflects the manner in which she is seducing the women with images of luxury. The stones are angular and jagged to show that although she appears a welcoming host, her motivations are more sinister. In addition, the fiery tones allude to the classical image of Hell. The outfit for the woman at the bar represents the Skriker’s poor understanding of humanity. She knows little about social interaction (as demonstrated by her nearly violent insistence on knowing how a TV works) and is not skilled at hiding her identity from Lily and Josie (as shown by her failed attempt as masquerading as a long-lost friend named Marie). The conflicting and overly bright tones reveal her identity, and also make her look like a kindergartener who was allowed to dress herself for the first time. The textures used are those of rocks similar to those found in the Skriker Queen’s dress. The Skriker as the child wears a similar outfit to her form as the woman at the bar, once again demonstrating her limited disguise skills. The fact that she wears a coat makes her appear more oddly independent, as she is entirely self-sufficient. Her unkept, puffy hair suggests that she is responsible for putting it up instead of one of her non-existent parents.

Dress Design Process
This slideshow shows the steps taken to create a digital collage of the Skriker's dress when she appears as the Queen of the Underworld. After first selecting images and compiling them to form the costume, the cropping was refined to match the contours of the stones more naturally.
